HR
In HR, we’re literally a resource for our people, and we support them throughout their Vistry journey. We base all we do on Vistry’s values, so we keep them in mind at all times. Our vision is to attract, develop and retain top talent, so when we’re not guiding and advising managers and directors, we’re supporting our people from day one and showcasing the best of the business.

For us, it’s all about building successful careers by being hands-on, influencing cultural change and embracing improvement. We drive D&I initiatives, HR system implementation projects, new starter engagement projects, wellbeing initiatives, and employee engagement surveys… the list goes on! We’re proud of our high engagement scores, low turnover, lower level of Employee Relations cases and fewer vacancies. Our recent achievements include harmonising pension, job titles and sick pay, overhauling our appraisal system, policy reviews and launching Succession/People plans.

Resourcing
In our team we are responsible for attracting the best people into our business that possess the right skills and attitude to do the job. We support hiring managers across the whole Group throughout their recruitment requirements, and ensure candidates have a positive journey through their application stages.

We work closely with HR and Learning and Development to create robust tools and strategies, and deliver exceptional customer service at all times to ensure Vistry is promoted as an employer of choice to the candidate market. Our focus is to create a diverse workforce for Vistry that can allow us to be at the top of our game!

We also get to work on exciting projects such as creating careers websites, employer value propositions and looking at tools to improve direct hiring.

Payroll
We’re responsible for employee-facing, end-to-end payroll processes and pay data. We help ensure our people – our most valuable asset – are satisfied, appreciated and valued. We want to make a positive impact on our people, so we focus on process efficiencies, benefit implementation, system integration, and employee-facing processes, maintenance and enhancement. We’re passionate about providing the highest levels of accuracy, service and compliance. We make sure our teams have the best experience possible.

Learning & Development
In Learning & Development, we go above and beyond to create effective learning solutions and development opportunities to attract and retain the people we need. Our culture champions continuous improvement; everyone is skilled and empowered to innovate and grow as they contribute to Vistry’s success.

We’re a busy team to be part of; when we’re not offering consultancy, subject matter expertise and guidance for the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of learning solutions, we focus on inspiring and developing our people so they can achieve their career goals and ambitions. From Early Talent programmes and Leadership and Management Development to training, E-Learning and Health and Safety/Personal Development modules, we make a real impact.

Most of our HR roles enjoy hybrid working, with the option to work from home when not visiting business units – this is usually on a weekly basis for 1-2 days each week, dependent on need and geography. Wherever we are, we have autonomy, and we collaborate. We are constantly in contact, working closely together because everything we do has impact. Thanks to the fast pace, tasks and projects are always changing, which we love. We find it to be really rewarding working this way!
